A vast open beach where the horizon feels endless and the wind never truly rests. By day its dunes blur into sea mist. By night the sand shimmers beneath the moon like silk laid upon the earth. Pirates gave it its name, Silky Ridge, for the way the dunes rolled soft and shifting, their edges forever blurred by wind and salt spray. From a distance it appeared gentle and inviting. Up close it was wild and untamed.
 

It was here, between sweeping sands and storm battered rocks at the tide’s edge, that the legend of Silky Jack was born. They say he was a wanderer of tides and tempests, neither fully living nor entirely lost, gliding along the silky ridges as ships waited offshore. Sailors whispered of a figure who moved through fog with dangerous grace, smooth in voice and smoother still in intent. Like the land that named him, he was contradiction itself, calm and chaos, silk and storm.
